Scion Announces Limited Edition xB RS 6.0
Scion just announced their latest Release Series car - the xB RS 6.0. Scion has been well known for their Release Series vehicles, which are specialized, limited edition runs of an existing model. There will only be a total of 2,500 of this latest edition made.
The 2009 Scion xB Release Series 6.0 comes exclusively in Absolutely Red, which is that almost matte-finish bright red you see above. Changes start with the black-finish front grille sans Scion logo, special Release Series wheel covers, red-accented interior trim, illuminated door sills, and a numbered holographic badge.
Other changes include a touch-screen integrated navigation unit with flash memory, voice recognition, MSN Direct, DVD, and Bluetooth capabilities with iPod and USB or SD connectivity. You can customize the 5.8-inch display with your choice of 32,000 colors, and get your choice of red, blue, purple, and amber interior lighting.
The xB RS 6.0 starts at $17,493 (manual transmission,) $18,443 for automatic - $1,743 over the xB base price. As you can see, the only real changes come in the form of aesthetic differences and some extra tech included, so the extra cost isn’t all that bad. Considering only 2,500 will be made, it’s a decent deal for the price. Expect the xB RS 6.0 to be in showrooms next month.
